Stick No Bills!

Picture taken off the wall at Block 72 Seng Poh Road

Lately, there had been so many posters & advertisements being stuck onto the walls around Tiong Bahru.

The one that annoys me the most is this one:

It seems that they have pasted their advertisement on every possible home in Tiong Bahru!

Isn't this an act of vandalism?

If the authorities do not act on these anti social behaviours, we will get more of these unsightly advertisements soon.

I really HATE to see our soon to be repainted estate being covered by these unsightly advertisements.

If you really need to put up some posters to announce something, perhaps you can remove the posters at the end of the day.

The Monkey Business sales has been concluded long ago but the posters is still all over the place!

Please lah, take the posters down before other monkeys start following your anti social act!

I'm seriously considering making a police report about the stickers advertising plumbing, locksmith services, etc, being stuck to my letterbox. These stickers can't be easily removed and it's got the culprit's contact details. Will the police treat it as vandalism? Who does the letterbox belong to really? I live on Tiong Poh Rd.

I'm not too sure about reporting to the police.

Perhaps just calling the Town Council would suffice.

These people are just trying to eke out a living and they just needed to be counselled on the methods.

My view is this, as long the advertisements do not permanently deface public or private properties, it should be alright.

I agree that pasting a LOUD sticker outside the door is very anti social.

The person who created those stickers simply did not understand the principles of marketing.

Yes, those adverts attracted attention but it created negative emotions instead of the desired ones they wanted.
